RHS Garden, Rosemoor (EX38 8PH) : A great location for a stroll, a coffee and possibly a shop all rolled into one, the Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Rosemoor is a delight for any Devon visitor with green fingers. Torrington 1646 Café (Castle Hill, EX38 8AA ): As a Cavalier Town, Torrington has an intriguing history to tell from the days of the English Civil War. Did you know? The Battle of Torrington (1646) played a key part in the English Civil War, as the Parliamentarians broke Royalist forces in the town, effectively ending their resistance in the Westcountry.
