Bigbury-on-Sea requires an unusual mode of transport to get to it – the sea tractor! It was designed in 1969 by a man called Robert Jackson CBE in exchange for a case of champagne. It has recently been renovated but retains its spot as the only sea tractor in the world. Transporting guests to the Burgh Island Hotel or even the historic Pilchard Inn, members of the public can enjoy a ride for just £2 each way. This is an experience that you won’t find anywhere else!
