Arriving on Christmas Eve
Arrive to our cosy and welcoming manor house hotel, set amongst frosty gardens and wintery trees, on Christmas Eve. With fireplaces aplenty in the main social areas, Northcote Manor feels extremely warm and festive at this time of the year.
Your room will be available to settle into from 2pm onwards. After you’ve unpacked, explored or simply relaxed on arrival, the indulgent Christmas break begins with afternoon tea served from 3pm.
The evening festivities will begin with mulled wine and canapés in our main lounge, before you are led through to our intimate dining room to enjoy a wonderful dinner prepared by Head Chef Richie Herkes and his award-winning team.
Emma Graham, our harpist, will provide gentle entertainment during dinner and any requests are welcome.
Christmas Day
Wake up on Christmas morning with a continental breakfast of croissants and pastries in the comfort of your own room, or join other diners for a traditional country house breakfast between 8am and 10am in our restaurant.
Following breakfast, a walk around our extensive 20 acre grounds can help you work up an appetite. Or, for the more adventurous, a trip to the local village of Burrington or into the surrounding countryside can be truly magical.
Your sumptuous four course Christmas lunch is served from 12.30pm, complete with all the trimmings.
Afterwards, the afternoon is yours to relax and recover, although tea and Christmas cake is served from 5.30pm!
An impressive evening buffet is served later, complete with dressed salmon and delicious cold meats. This can either be enjoyed in the restaurant or taken as room service with a bottle of wine.
Boxing Day
Boxing day is the perfect day to explore this beautiful part of North Devon and enjoy even more delights from the Manor.
A traditional country house breakfast is served from 9am to 10.30am and, for those going on a Devonshire adventure, a packed lunch can be prepared for you for an additional charge.
When you return, a scrumptious afternoon tea is served from 3pm with a range of delicate homemade cakes and pastries.
Socialising with old and new friends met during your time at Northcote Manor, enjoy canapés and a glass of chilled Champagne before your evening meal.
For your final festive night, our 6-course gourmet dinner with accompanying wines is served from 7pm.
