Northcote Manor
The best part is that they’re all within easy reach of our dog-friendly hotel. At Northcote Manor, we’re lucky to be close to some of the best walking spots in Devon. After you’ve enjoyed a long walk with your four-legged friend, you can enjoy some rest and relaxation on us.
1. Halsdon Nature Reserve
If you’re looking to enjoy picturesque woodland and even some local wildlife, then Halsdon Nature Reserve is perfect for you. Just under 20 minutes drive away from Northcote Manor, this area is hugely popular with our guests and locals alike.
It’s safe for dogs to be off lead and there’s lots of undergrowth, rivers, and open space to explore. You can complete a loop of Halsdon in about 5.5km.
There are some steep hills in places, but for the most part, this is a flat and easy walk where you can simply relax and enjoy the Devon countryside.
If you’re lucky, you might even spot some otters!
